However, Ighalo has found himself down the pecking order as Solksjaer prefers to feature the likes of Anthony Martial, Edison Cavani, Mason Greenwood, and Marcus Rashford ahead of the Nigerian. With the winter 2021 transfer window still open, Ighalo who finished the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations as highest goal scorer has noted he would like to stay at United but is open to a move especially in the MLS.
‘Today, I’m in Manchester but at the end of the month, I don’t know where I’m going to be. If it’s possible I’d like to stay here but if not I have to go. I have options. I wait for my agent. The league is doing well and if the opportunity arises then I’d grab it with two hands.’ Odion Ighalo

Commenting on his situation at United, the 31-year-old noted that he is not disturbed about his limited playing time in Manchester, rather he is proud of achieving his childhood dream of playing for Manchester United.
‘I never believed I’d play for United. Where I come from, we fight because of United games. We quarrel. We argue. When my team hasn’t done well, I’ve cried. I grew my love for United since I was young and I’m the happiest man on Earth for my dream to come true. I’ve fulfilled my dream to play for Man United.’ IghaloSource: Complete Sports Featured Image Source: Goal
