Week 21 of the Nigeria Professional Football League saw Lobi Stars FC of Markurdi and Plateau United play out a goalless draw at the Aper Aku Stadium on Sunday, February 23, 2020. The game saw Lobi dominate proceedings but were unable to find the back of the net as the visitors put up a solid defensive display to ensure they run out with a point and remain top of the league with 37 points from 21 games.

A narrow 2-1 win against Kano Pillars by Rivers United in Port Harcourt saw the oil rich state climb to second on the league log. Konan Ruffin N’Gouan put the hosts ahead in the 22nd minute from the spot before Cletus Emotan extended the lead with two minutes left to play. Kano Pillars’ captain, Rabiu Ali, would reduce the deficit in the stoppage time but it was not good enough as the visitors travelled back to Kano without a point.

In Lafia, defending league champions, Enyimba FC, suffered a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Nassarawa United at the Lafia Township Stadium. Goals from Chinedu Ohanachom and Dauda Maigishiri was all the home side needed to claim all three points on Sunday.
