Chinedu Ohanachom’s hat-trick helped Nassarawa United beat Katsina United 3-0 at the Lafia City Stadium on Sunday but news of Chieme Martins’ death after the game turned the hosts joy into sorrow. Martins had collapsed midway into the game and had been rushed to a local hospital for treatment but all efforts to revive the player proved abortive as he gave up the ghost. Chairman of the League Management Company, Shehu Dikko, commiserated with the club and player’s family and hoped that autopsy will reveal the cause of his death.
