Established by the NNPC/MPN JV EMOIMEE Host Community Development Trust in Ikot-Abasi, this scholarship initiative is built on the principle that education creates pathways to opportunity, leadership development, and community advancement. Each selected scholar receives ₦400,000 annually, enabling them to focus on academic pursuits without financial strain.

Who Can Apply?
General Qualifications
- Candidates must be natives of Ikot Abasi Local Government Area (LGA).
- Must be presently studying at a recognised Nigerian tertiary institution — including universities, polytechnics, colleges of education, or nursing colleges.
- Must have finished a minimum of one academic session at their institution.
- Cannot be receiving another scholarship concurrently.
- Must exhibit strong character and discipline, with no connections to cultism or unlawful conduct.
Academic Standards
- University students: Minimum Second Class Lower (2:2) grade.
- Polytechnic or nursing college students: Minimum Upper Credit grade.
- College of Education students: Minimum Merit grade.
Maintaining the Award
Scholars must provide academic transcripts at each session’s start to continue receiving support. The scholarship will be discontinued if academic standards drop or conduct requirements are breached.
What Recipients Receive
- ₦400,000 scholarship payment each year per student.
- Annual renewal until program completion, contingent on maintaining satisfactory grades and meeting program requirements.
- Provides financial support alongside encouragement for academic and individual development.
