Global sportswear giants, Nike, have unveiled the new jersey for the Nigerian national football team, the Super Eagles, on Wednesday, February 05, 2020 in New York, United States. The new jersey has been made public ahead of the Super Eagle’s match-day three home qualifying encounter for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations against Sierra Leone. Nigeria’s new home jersey is hand draw design which combines the traditional aesthetics agbada robe with a modern football design.

The jersey’s centre is coloured white with a subtle pattern, while shades of green with a wavy pattern surround the sides of the centre. Coloured black is the crew neck of the collar, likewise the Nike logo positioned at the centre of the chest. While the Nigerian badge is placed just slightly above the Nike logo. Green shorts and socks coloured green and white completes the Nike 2020 home kit for the West African nation.
However, the design for the new away kit is inspired by Onaism, a grey coloured jersey with green and white pattern design on the collar and cuffs. On the sleeve and off the shoulders of the away kit is a subtle tonal pattern, while on the right breast is a white Nike Swoosh, as shorts and socks coloured grey completes the away kit for 2020.
