TOTTENHAM 0-5 LIVERPOOL Victor Moses was a late substitute for Brazilian wonder kid, Phillipe Coutinho in Liverpool’s destruction of Spurs at White Hart Lane on Sunday. Luis Suarez was unexpectedly the star of the show, grabbing a brace and setting up two other goals for Raheem Sterling and Jon Flanagan. Suarez now has 17 premier league goals from just 11 outings. The win sees Liverpool climb to second, two points behind Arsenal who were dismantled 6-3 by Manchester City in Saturday’s early kick off. NEWCASTLE 1-1 SOUTHAMPTON Shola Ameobi has become a mainstay in Alan Pardew’s starting line up following series of good results, including a famous win against Manchester United last week. The bullish striker was substituted in the 61st minute by Senegalese, Papiss Cisse. The draw was enough to keep Newcastle in sixth place and on course for European qualification. His younger brother, Sammy, was an unused substitute. CHELSEA 2-1 CRYSTAL PALACE Jose Mourinho left John Mikel Obi out of his squad for the London derby against Crystal Palace. Moroccan striker, Mauroane Chamakh’s goal for Crystal Palace was sandwiched by Fernando Torres and Ramires efforts to give Blues the deserved win. HULL CITY 0-0 STOKE CITY Sone Aluko remains on the sidelines and missed the game. Hull City and Stoke City are 12th and 13th on the table respectively. CARDIFF CITY 1-0 WEST BROM Peter Osaze Odemwingie faced his former side, West Brom for the first time since his summer move after a protracted dispute between him and West Brom management over a failed transfer to QPR last January. He had the last laugh when Peter Whittingham leaped above West Brom defence to give his side the maximum points. Victor Anichebe wasn’t named in West Brom squad for the game. Steve Clarke was relieved of his managerial duties following the loss.
