HULL CITY 3-1 LIVERPOOL
Victor Moses started the game in absence of Daniel Sturridge, who has been ruled out for eight weeks as a result of injury.
Hull City Tigers stunned the visitors with their style of play. Jake Livermore grabbed the opener via a deflection but Steven Gerrard restored parity with a well taken free-kick just before half time. David Meyler and Martin Skrtel own-goal sealed the historic win for Hull, who are still without Nigerian International, Sone Aluko.
CHELSEA 3-1 SOUTHAMPTON
John Mikel Obi was a second half substitute for Fernando Torres as Chelsea fought hard against a resilient Southampton side at Stamford Bridge.
Jay Rodrigues capitalised on Michael Essien’s error to give the Saints the lead after just 15 seconds. Gary Cahill, John Terry and Demba Ba goals turned the game for Mourinho’s men.
NEWCASTLE UNITED 2-1 WEST BROM
Shola Ameobi played all 90 minutes for Newcastle in their fourth consecutive win. Victor Anichebe was second half substitute for West Brom, replacing Stephane Sessegnon. Sammy Ameobi played no part in the game.
The win helped Newcastle rise to sixth position on the EPL table and got Alan Pardew honours for manager of the month.
CARDIFF 0-3 ARSENAL
Osaze Odemwingie replaced Frazier just after the hour but it wasn’t to be against the league leaders who made it look so easy to the eye.
Aaron Ramsey scored a brace on his return to the club where it all started. Mathieu Flamini scored his first goal for the club in his second spell to take Arsenal four points clear at the top.
