Super Eagles of Nigeria forward, Simon Moses, has sealed a permanent move from Spanish league side, Levante, to French Ligue 1 side, Nantes. Simon put pen to paper on a five million euros deal that will see him remain in France after impressing while on loan with the French side during the 2019-2020 season which was brought to a premature end due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Both clubs agreed to a purchase option which became mandatory if the 2019 AFCON bronze-medalist played 25 official games and scored 10 goals. However, the premature end of the season could not see Simon score up to 10 goals but he was involved in 17 goals, scoring nine times and assisting eight goals. Simon who was recently named Nantes Player of the Season after earning 40% percent of votes cast signed a four-year contract that will be effective from July 1st, 2020, keeping him with the Canaries until June 30th, 2024.

In an emotional farewell message posted on his Instagram handle, Simon Moses thanked Levante UD for the opportunity to prove himself in Spain and expressed his love for the Spanish club’s fans, technical crew, management, and his former teammates while also expressing delight at joining his new Nantes family.
