Head coach of South African league side, Kaizer Chiefs, Ernst Middendorp has hailed Super Eagles goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi for his heroics against Orlando Pirates during the Soweto derby. A number of great saves from the Nigerian shot-stopper helped the Amakhosi earn a vital win over the Pirates. Akpeyi was subject to many critics prior to the derby owing to his mistakes against Maritzburg United few weeks back, but the Nigerian did not hesitate to prove his critics wrong during the much talked about clash. His heroics between the sticks earned him man of the match to the delight of the Amakhosi fans who had to depend on Akpeyi to leave the stadium happy.
