It did not take long for the Nigerian Minister (Sunday Dare) to declare ‘’there is gold in this kid,’’ and I am quite certain that the gold identified by the Minister is a bright future in the world of boxing for the kid, which undoubtedly should equally translate to winning an Olympic Gold for Nigeria in the near future. In a 23 seconds video shared on Twitter by the Nigerian sports minister, Adekoya thrilled a lot of Nigerians with his amazing mastery of the boxing art. At such a young age, Adekoya commands a perfect head movement and footwork, something rare to find in most boxers his age. His coach, Tito, puts in a lot of work into the development of the kid who just needs to be rightly nurtured to attain the heights of Nigerian boxing greats like Anthony Joshua.
