1. The Director of Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON), Dr. Joseph Odumodu has said that Nigeria’s standards regulator will work with the Cassava Weed Management Project to tackle weeds ravaging cassava fields in Africa. 2. Economic Commission for Africa’s (ECA) annual report has advocated the use of industrialization through trade to develop resources in the continent. 3. The Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas Limited (NLNG) said it has spent over  $9.3 billion to develop its six trains,  which put it in good stead to deliver about seven percent of the global LNG supply. 4. The European Union (EU) has  designated the Skyway Aviation Handling Company Limited (SAHCOL) as its third country certified to operate as Aviation Security Validated Regulated Agent. 5. 100 health professionals in Onitsha, Anambra State have undergone hands-on skills training in various health fields including Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation, CPR, proper usage of a defibrillator machine, and the use of an Epinephrine pen for anaphylaxis or severe allergic reactions. 6. The Bank of Industry (BOI) has secured a domestic credit rating of A- from Agusto & Co, a leading Nigerian credit rating agency. 7. The Nigeria Liquefied  Natural Gas Limited (NLNG) has  paid $14.7 billion to the Federal Government as dividend last year. 8. Results for the year 2014 have shown that May and Baker Nigeria has recorded a 90 per cent growth in profit. 9. Sanofi Pasteur, the vaccines division of Sanofi, in partnership with the Association of Public Health Physicians of Nigeria, APHPN, Lagos Chapter, have called for an effective and sustained food safety and hygiene quality assurance system to be in place in the country. 10. Emerging market-focused private equity firm, Abraaj Group has secured 990 million dollars for the development of mid-market firms in Nigeria and other African countries.
