Connect_top 10   1. Nigeria has attracted and commenced the implementation of over N500bn private sector investments in the sugar sector under the Nigeria Sugar Master Plan . 2. Mobile Software Solutions, a company established a year ago as an IT Start-up focused on e-Health, and designed to address the malaria scourge in Nigeria and Africa, has emerged the Best Mobile Software Solution in Africa 2014. 3. It has recently been announced by the Federal Government that the construction of Abuja (Idu)-Kaduna Standard gauge rail line is 85 percent complete and will be completed by December this year. The Minister of Transport, Senator Idris Umar, said that out of the projected 187.5km rail line, the ministry has achieved 155 km, adding that the remaining 32 km would be completed and delivered by the end of this year. 4.Director General, National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Mr. Peter Olu Jack will be Chief Host at the 2014 National Information Technology Merit Award (NITMA) organized by the Nigeria Computer Society (NCS).  A new innovation at this year’s NITMA is also the presentation of the first set of Special Recognition Awards to individuals and organizations advancing Nigeria’s digital agenda. 5. Smile Communications has extended its internet services to Abuja and its environs. The 4G Long-Term Evolution (LTE) broadband internet service by Smile Communications Nigeria Limited, is up and running in Abuja after the recent launch. 9. Alluvial Trade and Development Company Limited (Alluvial), a Nigerian integrated agriculture company has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Buhler Group for the design, manufacture and installation of a five tone per hour rice mill at Ibil –Ogoja, Cross River State. 10. Wiko Phones, a French brand, actually launched 10 new smart and features phones in Lagos with eyes on 10 per cent market share in the country.
