The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has announced that the Super Eagles will face the Brazilian national team in an international football friendly on Sunday, October 13, 2019 in Singapore.

Following the announcement on the night of Monday, September 16, 2019, the country’s football governing body also noted that serious efforts to get Nigeria an international friendly against an African side is in the works.

We are happy to have sealed this encounter with Brazil, the five-time champions of the world. It is not every day that you get to play Brazil, and I think it is very good for our young team… The focus now is on getting an African team for the Super Eagles as a second match for the FIFA window in October, ahead of their 2021 AFCON qualifying matches in November

Three-time African champions Nigeria will face Brazil at the Singapore National Stadium, Kallang in the October FIFA international window. It will be recalled that the South-Americans defeated the West Africans 3-0 during their last meeting in 2003 at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja.

The Gernot Rohr charged folks were held to a 2-2 draw against Ukraine in their last international outing on September 10, 2019. Rohr’s men will kick-start their qualification campaign for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations against the Squirrels of Benin on November 14, 2019, before flying to Maseru for a matchday-2 encounter against the Crocodiles of Lesotho on November 19, 2019.
