Nigeria’s U-23 team have qualified for the 2015 CAF U-23 Championship in Senegal after holding Congo to a goalless draw in Pointe Noire. Dream Team VI – led by coach Samson Siasia – went into the game on the back of  a 2-1 first-leg and forced hosts, Congo to a draw to book their place in the CAF U-23 Championship with 2-1 aggregate score. Nigeria thus joined hosts Senegal, Algeria, Tunisia, South Africa, Mali, Zambia and Egypt for the tournament proper, which will serve as a qualifying series for the 2016 Rio Olympics. The eight finalists will be drawn into two groups of four teams with the top three teams advancing to the Olympics next year in Brazil.
