Trade volume between Nigeria and Inodnesia currently stands at $449 million, and is projected to increase by 12 percent this year, according to the Indonesia Trade Promotion Centre (ITPC). Director of ITPC, Mr. Pontas Tobing, at a briefing to announce ITPC’s 28th Trade Expo Indonesia, noted that the recent growth witnessed is due to the relationship between Nigeria and Indonesia in trade areas including agriculture, mining, construction, transportation and manufacturing. He also said, “Year in year out, we improve our promotion activities in Nigeria. This year we have organised five exhibitions in this country to promote our products and investments in Nigeria.” “Visitors to the trade expo will have the golden opportunity to meet with leading Indonesian manufacturers, wholesalers and operators of related businesses in nearly all industrial sectors in Indonesia. There will be approximately more than 600 companies in 2,000 booths. “The theme for TEI 2013; ‘Trade with remarkable Indonesia’ is very fitting because it shows that the Republic of Indonesia has a lot of remarkable selection of products and services to offer. Such products include agriculture, furniture, textile and textile products, chemical products, electronics, aircraft and components auto spare parts, wooden products and coffee. “We would like you to know that Indonesia still remains a very conducive country for investment after China in Asia. We have over 12 Indonesian companies that have invested in Nigeria and they all have their success stories to tell. I hereby enjoin you to participate in the 28th trade expo Indonesia and I assure you that you will certainly get the best business opportunities without regrets,” he ntoed. The trade expo is scheduled to hold between October 16th and 20th, 2013 in Indonesia.
