Apple is finally set for their usual September unveiling of a new set of iPhones. The iPhone X, which was the best-selling smartphone in the first quarter of the year, was also launched same time last year and will be welcoming its new siblings come September 12. A new iPad, Apple Watch, and possibly a MacBook will also be announced on the said date.
The theme of the September 12 event is “Gather Round” and it will be held at the Steve Jobs Theater on the Apple Park Campus in Cupertino, California. Apple’s September launch event is always known to draw a notable amount of Internet traffic with people streaming from several locations around the world.
According to leaks, we expect to see three new iPhone models with varied screen sizes and display technology. There’ll be an upgraded version of the iPhone X with the same size, a less expensive iPhone, and a large-sized iPhone (around 6.5” display size). The 2018 iPhones would have two models with an OLED display, and a relatively cheaper model equipped with an LCD screen. All models would be bezel-less like the iPhone X and retain the notch.
The new Apple phones may also feature a dual sim option with dual standby mode for the first time. Also, no one is sure what Apple will be calling the new devices (iPhone X Plus, iPhone X2 or iPhone X 2018), but we sure can’t wait to set our eyes on them.
