Leicester City FC of England and Super Eagles midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi, has stated that he is geared up for the return of the 2019/2020 English Premier League season, insisting that despite the lockdown, himself and his teammates are in good physical shape to continue from where they paused. It will be recalled that the league was suspended in mid-March, 2020, owing to the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic in England and the globe at large, forcing football and other sports activities to stop temporarily until the pandemic is controlled.

With everything now a bit under control, a provisional date of June 17, 2020, has been set as restart date for the suspended season and Ndidi who alongside his teammates were having a superb campaign, is confident that the Foxes are ready to return provided all safety measures and requirements are met.
I would say we’re ready because even during the lockdown, everyone was working at home. So, we’re always ready and we’ll just see what comes next. We’re just working hard. Everyone is keeping fit, working hard and the mentality is great, so we’ll just see what comes in the coming days
