Leicester City FC of England midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi, is set to undergo a late fitness test ahead of Friday night’s (February 28, 2020) Premier League tie against Norwich City. Leicester City’s manager, Brendan Rodgers, revealed that the Nigerian has resumed training with the rest of his teammates and is close to returning to full action.

Wilfred Ndidi has been training so we’ll see how he is on Friday. But if he’s not right for this week we’ll look for next week, which is good news for us. We have to be cautious. We don’t want to lose him again…When he came back it was deemed he was fit and he felt good, but he had a slight reaction, so we just wanted to be sure he was right. We need to give it that period of time. When we feel it’s the right time, we’ll bring him back in for a really important part of the season for us

Super Eagles of Nigeria manager, Gernot Rohr, is believed to be equally monitoring the situation of Ndidi ahead of the announcement of his squad for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Sierra Leone. Friday will make it a month since the Foxes midfielder has been off after suffering a reaction to his knee operation.
