The president, Nigerian-British Chamber of Commerce (NBCC), Prince Dapo Adelegan, at the chambers breakfast meeting, urged the Federal Government to come up with strong regulations on border control to prevent importation of unauthorised goods into the country.
Adelegan who was represented by the Deputy President of the Chamber, Akin Olawore, stated that several goods had been confiscated by the Nigerian Custom Service recently and that the government needed a strong policy direction to prevent smugglers from turning Nigeria into a dumping ground.
Mr. Ray Kyles, the Deputy High Commissioner to Nigeria, expressed readiness of the British government to support Nigeria in its economic transformation drive. He also hinted that energy and infrastructure development will be key to most British investors coming over to invest in Nigeria.
