If you haven’t heard the Phyno song N.W.A then here’s your chance, so you don’t get caught “sleeping on a bicycle”, to take a line from the song.
The melodious mid-tempo song was produced by IamBeat and features American born Nigerian rapper Wale (real name Olubowale Victor Akintimehin) who is currently signed to Rick Ross’ Maybach Music Group. This is coming not long after he scored an international collaboration with Jamaican dancehall star Kranium on the song “One Chance”.
Phyno who is renowned for rapping in his native language, Igbo, started his musical career as a producer in 2003. His debut album, No Guts No Glory, was released in 2014 and brought him to the spotlight. His chart-topping singles “Alobam”, “Ghost Mode”, “Man of the Year”, “Parcel” and “O Set” have been some of the most played songs in Nigeria in the past few years.
He has produced songs for notable artistes including Timaya, Flavour, Ruggedman and Bracket. According to Google Trends, N.W.A which was officially released on Thursday is currently the second most searched topic in Nigeria in the past 24 hours. It is also a massive airplay on radio, and hopefully, a music video for the trending song is in the offing.
