Here are some great movies to keep you entertained this weekend:
New Money
New Money is a collaboration between FilmOne and Inkblot, two big names in the movie industry.
The comedy movie tells a story of Toun Odumosu (Jemima Osunde), a struggling young designer, whose life changes after the death of his absentee tycoon father (Kalu Ikeagwu), leaving her to fill his shoes. As a young girl coming to terms with sudden riches, she goes through her new life trying to successfully hold together her newfound wealth with her old life.
New Money is directed by Tope Oshin (director of Shuga, Tinsel and Journey to Self) and written by Chinaza Onuzo (The Arbitration, My Wife and I, The Wedding Party 2). It features some of Nollywood’s best, including Jemima Osunde, Dakore Egbuson-Akande, Wale Ojo, Kate Henshaw, Falz, Graham-Douglas Adeolu Adefarasinand many others.
It will be out in Cinemas on Friday, 23rd March. You shouldn’t miss it!
Dr Mekam
Dr Mekam is a hilarious dramatic comedy about a highly successful Nigerian medical doctor who decides to run home in order to pursue his ambition to run for the office Governor of Anambra state as “a stepping stone to becoming the President of Nigeria.” However, navigating through the political terrain back home proves quite an arduous task for him.
The movie features Uche Jumbo, Seun Akindele, Kalu Ikeagwu, Yemi Blaq, Chika Chukwu, Emaka Okoye. Watch out for it!
