As the weekend approaches, most people look forward to relaxing and simply doing something fun. Seeing a movie comes highly recommended, and there are dozens of great Nigerian movies in cinemas. Here are some that have just appeared in cinemas across the country.
King Of Boys
Starring Sola Sobowale, Remilekun Reminisce Safaru and Adesua Etomi, King of Boys is one of the most highly anticipated this year.
It follows the story of an affluent businesswoman whose political ambition is hindered by her past and is left to fight the underworld that made her who she has become. She fights ruthlessly to preserve everything that she considers important.
The film was directed by Kemi Adetiba who was also behind the award-winning Wedding Party movies.
The Bridal Shower
In this 86-minute movie, Lolade’s surprise bridal shower quickly goes from fun to horror for eight young women, when the party soon becomes a mysterious bloodbath. The Bridal Shower stars Regina Chukwu and Doris Simeon.
Beautiful Sunset
Awa decides to face her demons after life hit her hard. Having married at a very tender age, she decides to go against the norms, and does the most unconventional and unacceptable thing. Written and directed by Igunwe Alfred Otaniyuwa, the movie stars Ayo Adesanya, Etinosa Idemudia, Melvin Oduah, Roselyn Ngissah and Zack Orji.
