As always, we bring you the latest and the best of Nigerian films in cinemas each weekend.
Here are our recommendations for the weekend.
4TH REPUBLIC
“4th Republic” stars Kate Henshaw, Bimbo Manuel, Enyinna Nwigwe, Yakubu Mohammed, Sani Muazu and Linda Ejiofor.
The movie delves into the dynamics of the typical Nigerian political terrain. It shows the society’s expectations of, and bias against women in politics, election violence, and the tussle that follows at election tribunals.
Opening on the 12th of April, it no doubt one of the movies with the longest runtime in cinemas this weekend with 2hours and 4minutes.
JUMBLED
Damilola languishes in regret after finding out the consequence of his decision, worse still that it is too late to do anything about it. The rollercoaster romance with his beautiful, yet desperate, lover is founded entirely on deceit.
Directed by Saheed Apanpa, it stars Airebamen Irene, Beverly Naya, Emem Ufot, Eucharia Anunobi, Wole Ojo, Lilian Esoro and more.
COMING FROM INSANITY
Coming From Insanity is a crime drama based on a true story. It follows the life of Kossi, a little boy trafficked into Nigeria to serve as a domestic help, and his transformation into a notorious currency counterfeiter, who applies genius-level intelligence in carrying out the crime.
It stars Gabriel Afolayan as Kossi, along with Wole Ojo, Sambasa Nzeribe, Dakore Akande, Adeolu Adefarasin among other stellar actors.
