2018 has not been Chelsea’s year as they headed into the game against Brighton and Hove Albion with no wins or even a goal to their name so far. The 27-year-old Nigerian midfielder has made 17 Premier League appearances for Chelsea this season, starting in first eleven for their last eight league games, but failed to make it to the scoreboard game after game. Moses has been impressive this season, but like every forward would say, goals crown your efforts. Without a goal to his name this season, the player has been quite restless in finding the perfect chance to make a goal. In Chelsea’s last game against Arsenal, Moses was quite impressive on the pitch and would have put in his first goal if the season but it hit the bar, just like every other opportunity he got. Maybe Arsenal jinxed him.. hehe. Well, that jinx just broke as Moses made an astonishing finish and scored a stunner in Chelsea’s Saturday match against Brighton. Moses is in the running for Chelsea’s man of the match. The game started off not so good for Chelsea as pressure began to mount on the Blues, however, Eden Hazard and William calmed the raging storm as they each put in a goal for Chelsea six minutes into the game. In the second half, Chelsea still maintained their two-goal lead, Hazard, however, scored his second goal before Victor Moses put in a goal one minute before full time to solidify Chelsea’s four-goal lead ending the game at 4-0. Speaking after the game, Victor Moses took to his Twitter handle to express his delight in scoring his first goal this season; ”Quality team performance from the boys today buzzing to get on the score sheet . Thanks to all the travelling fans great support as always,” Moses tweeted.
