Chelsea started the game on a good note, having the first real chance with the first five minutes of the game as Hazard made a left-foot strike that went wide off target. Barcelona, who dominated the playing field with 70 percent possession seems to have arrived late to the party as their many chances within the first theory minutes of the game were without a good finish. William would then probe Barcelona’s ’18 with impressive shots but came just within an inch of goal each time. Hazard immediately followed suite probing Barca’s end of the pitch, but his goal had no more luck than William’s previous shots. In the 54th minute, Luis Suarez had his first chance at goal but Curtois made a quick save.
