Monarch Events and Promotions is set to thrill
boxing fans in Nigeria with a stimulating bill tagged
King of the Ring, a boxing event that will feature three international title bouts and some local non-title fights.

The event, which has been scheduled for
Saturday, December 22, 2018, at the Landmark Event Centre, Lekki, will witness West African Boxing Union Light Middleweight champion, Nigeria’s Suleiman Olagbade, do battle with Gyorgy Mizsel Jnr in a WBO Africa Light Middleweight title clash.
WBF Africa middleweight champion, King Davidson, will face a yet to be named opponent in an international title bout, while Tony ‘Sugar’ Salam, another WBF Africa Cruiserweight Champion from Nigeria, will take on Ghana’s Kwesi Tutu in another title fight.
According to the organizers, boxers from Britain, Australia, Mexico and the UAE will also be present to battle yet to be named opponents at the enthralling event.
Speaking at a press conference in Lagos yesterday, the CEO of Monarch Events Promotions, Prince Stanley Williams, represented by Emeka Onele, said that the company would be riding on the back of their success with the BoxFest staged in April this year to bring another monumental boxing event to Nigerians this December.
President of the Nigeria Boxing Board of Control, Dr. Rafiu Oladipo, has called on all Nigerians to support Monarch Events Promotions and be partners with the boxing governing board to promote the sport in the country.
