The media accreditation process has officially begun for the upcoming Seamaster ITTF Challenge Plus Nigeria Open, scheduled to take place at the Molade Okoya-Thomas Hall of the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos from August 7 to 11, 2019.
According to the Main Organizing Committee (MOC) of the championship, plans are already underway to make the table tennis tournament one of the sport’s biggest events to be staged in Africa.
Players will compete in the men and women singles and doubles category, U-21 men and women and mixed doubles.
As expected, the 2019 Seamaster ITTF Challenge Plus Nigeria Open will feature some of the top ranked players from every continent on the globe as they battle for the ultimate tennis crown.
African champion, Aruna Quadri, who won the last edition of the tournament, would also be looking to assert his tournament dominance when the games begin in August.
Media persons interested in covering the event have been directed by the MOC to apply for accreditation on the the tournament’s official website  before July 15, 2019. All applications received after the 10th of July will not be considered.
Meanwhile, publicity for the championship have begun on social media with the official hashtag #NigeriaOpen2019.
