The technological firm sees Nigeria as a hub for its plans to connect Africa to the globe
Global technological giants, Microsoft Corporation, is set to open its first African Development Centre (ADC) in Lagos State, Nigeria, today, Tuesday, March 22, 2022. “The Microsoft, an American multinational technology corporation which produces computer software, personal computers, and related services, opens its first African Development Centre (ADC) in Lagos, Nigeria,’’Ahmad’s tweet disclosed. The African Centre of the multi-billion dollar worth American multinational technology company which mainly produces computer software, personal computers, and other related services, is worth $100 million in investment.

Microsoft Corporation’s Nigerian office is expected to serve as a hub for software engineering solutions in Africa. The Nigerian office is established alongside a Kenyan office in Nairobi as the continent continues to establish a presence in the globe as a hub for talents in technology. In May 2019, the Vice President of Microsoft Corporate, Michael Fortin, said during the launch of the project that the firm has set out to recruit outstanding engineering talents and give them a platform to work on technologies suitable for Kenyans, Nigerians, and the entire globe. Fortin also noted that it will afford the recruited engineers the opportunity to work meaningfully from their home countries while they connect the globe.
