We recently announced the shortlisting of the Mo Abudu production, Fifty at the British Film Institute’s London Film Festival.  This amazing feat is no surprise considering the super talented actresses who starred in it:  Nse Ikpe-Etim, Dakore Egbuson-Akande, Omono Oboli and Ireti Doyle. Read on to learn more about these Nollywood darlings: 1. Omoni Oboli (starring as Maria) Omoni-Oboli (1) Omoni is a Nigerian actress and producer. The award-winning actress has received recognition from the Los Angeles Movie Awards and Harlem International Film Festival. She made her first film as a student of the University of Benin where she graduated with a degree in Foreign Languages. She has been married to her husband, Nnamdi since 2000.   2. Nse Ikpe-Etim (starring as Kate) Nse-Ikpe-Etim The Nigerian actress rose to prominence in 2008 for her appearance in Reloaded, and has received several accolades ever since: nominations at the Africa Movie Academy Awards and a Best Actress in a Drama award at the 2014 Africa Magic Viewer’s Choice Awards. She got married to her childhood sweetheart, Clifford Sule, in 2014.   3. Dakore Egbuson-Akande ( starring as Tola) Dakore Egbuson Dakore is the ambassador for Amnesty International, Amstel Malta and Oxfam of America, according to her official Wikipedia page. She has acted in over 50 films, standing out as one of the successful actors of her time. She is happily married with two daughters.   4. Iretiola Doyle (starring as Elizabeth) ireti doyle Last but certainly not least is Ireti who is popularly known for her role in MNet soap opera, Tinsel. She has received a 2013 nomination for her acting chops from the Best of Nollywood Awards, and raises six kids with her husband Patrick.   Check out the ladies in the trailer below:
