CN: What vision and mission did you have in mind when you started SoupAmarket?
To ensure no one is deprived the satisfaction and fulfilment of having good food to eat. To provide ease for everybody with the intent to be their Number 1 kitchen partner.
CN: What exactly are the services your business offers?
We cater to the needs of busy people who value time but love good homemade Nigerian soups and stews. We are the solution to hunger. We cook and deliver anywhere in Lagos for a fee.
CN: Which qualities and character traits have helped you the most on your entrepreneurial journey?
- My love for God.
- My ability to improvise on my toes.
- My flexibility.
- My resilient spirit.
- My kind heart (as people always say)
CN: How did you raise capital to start your business?
I borrowed money from a friend.
CN: How does it work? What steps do potential customers have to take to get service?
The potential customer visits
our site, goes to our menu option, views what he/she likes and their prices, and gives us a call for availability assurance and payment. We take it from there.
CN: Give us a peek into your menu. What kinds of meals do you offer?
All sorts of Nigerian soups and stews: Efo riro, ewedu, edikangikong, afang, ofe nsala, chicken stew, etc.
CN: What is the most challenging part of your work?
Time. 24hrs is never enough. Also, logistics.
CN: What is SoupAmarket’s unique selling point? What makes you stand out from the crowd?
We tailor every order to the client’s specifications and put God first in everything we do.
CN: What do you consider to be the best career decision you have ever made?
Following my calling according to the will of God. This was never my plan but God chose this path for me and I am grateful for it every day.
Thank you for having me.
