They are Nigerian designers who with their determination and passion, are guaranteed to make it to the top of the ladder. Their works of art announce them as promising designers and definitely contenders for the number one spot in the Nigerian fashion industry. Here are 5 designers to watch out for, in no particular order. 1. Sunny Rose: Maureen Ikem is the creative director of Sunny Rose, a fashion brand which blossomed in just two years and now has a dedicated following home and abroad. Her fashion pieces are original and eccentric. Her use of fabrics and patterns can be described as eclectic and exciting.   ConnectNigeria_SunnyRose 2. DZYN: At the helm of affairs at DZYN are two creative sisters, Ogwa Iweze and Ofure Adive. Their creative collections can be described as great print fabrics in bright hues that are exquisitely tailored to fit and accentuate the female body.   ConnectNigeria_DYZN 3. Mi-le: Ponmile Olawoye started the Mi-le brand in 2011. So far on her journey to greatness, she has been able to create clothes that are skillfully draped and wearable. Her touch is one of sophistication and charm; fantastic yet rational. Her works show a combination of refinement and sensuality which she achieves with exceptional fabrics and commendable attention to detail.     ConnectNigeria_Mi-Le- 4. Alali Boutique: Ifeoma Odogwu, Creative Director at Alali Boutique has continued to wow those who look forward to her designs since her first collection in the 2011 Lagos Fashion and Design Week. Her collections celebrate the feminism of a woman. Her dresses celebrate a woman who is competitive, adventurous and sexy.   ConnectNigeria_AlaliBoutique 5. Belle D’Jour Couture: This is a brand owned by Kehinde Osotimehin. Belle D’ Jour Couture is the brand that creates simple pieces of clothing with spunk by using combinations of fabrics which include silk, linen, brocade, adire, velvet, damask, alari, sanvan, etu (aso-oke), lvcra, chiffon and so much more.
