If you are on Twitter, and are willing to confess to furtively taking peeks at tweet updates while at work, I’m sure you’ve heard of the Potato Lagos Deal. If you are not guilty of these things, then let me educate you. The Potato Lagos deal seems incredible, for one. When you stumble on it, you read it twice over to make sure you saw correctly. They offer a tasty AND healthy meal of boiled potatoes, steamed carrots and shredded chicken sauce, for only N500. They would deliver to any corner of Lagos you find yourself, island or mainland. And the best part? The delivery is free. Who would not want that? After perusing and making sure there was no fine print, I placed my order. Put the call through at 11am, and waited. And waited. Until finally, my phone rang at 2pm; my food was here. I was a little miffed at the poor delivery service, but I reminded myself that it was free and indeed, Potato Lagos is a relatively new business. My anger was even further dissipated  when I opened my pack. The aroma was lovely!

The carrots were not too soft, the veggies were not soggy, and best of all, they were not stingy with the chicken pieces. I thought the sauce would not be enough, but turned out it was. It would have been lovely however if they added little sachets of salt and pepper, in case a customer wished to spice things up. Licked my fork when I was done. Would I be ordering from them again? I would be following your cue.
