The month has only just begun and they’re a line-up of events around town. We’ve made you a list of events you don’t want to miss in March.

Rebeca Omordia LIVE in Concert

Romanian-Nigerian London-based virtuoso pianist, Rebeca Omordia, is billed to perform at the Agip Recital Hall, Muson Centre on March 4 and March 11, 2018. Some of the pieces she will be performing include Liszt – Piano Concerto no.1 in E Flat major as soloist with the MUSON Symphony Orchestra. If you wish to add a pinch of class to your March, then don’t miss this.

Rhyme ‘n’ Reason

This years’ edition of the spoken-word concert, themed Eversion Musical is the first of its kind musical satire performed through spoken words and rap scheduled to hold at Terra Kulture, Victoria Island, Lagos on the 10th, 11th and 18th of March 2018. It will be a showcase of resplendence; dance, rap and spoken word “through a robust production deeply ingrained in literature.”

Lafta Card with Momkals

Last year the show was a big success, so we expect this year to be even better. Lined up to perform at the Calabar Municipal Dome are Gordons, Akpororo, Kenny Blaq, Mc Shakara, Destalker, Professor Aboki, Mc George, Koboko among other comedians. There will also be music by Kcee, Ruffcoin and Ajaba. Chinedu Ikedieze (Aki) and Sam Ajibola (Spiff) of the Johnsons, will be the hosts for the day. The date is March 11, and the time is 3 pm.

Step Up Naija Concert

A music concert put together by the Institute of National Transformation and the HDI Youth Marketeers, with the aim to drive the message of “Strategic Transformation and Empowerment (STEP) through music.” Date: Saturday, March 24, 2018 Time: 4:00-10:00PM Address: Yard 158, Oregun Ikeja Lagos 

Gidi Fest

Has become a music and culture festival to look forward to annually. This year, it will be featuring several A-list artistes like Tuface, Wizkid, Adekunle Gold, Maleek Berry, SDC, YCee, Brymo, Mayorkun. The venue is Hard Rock Café beachfront, on the 30th of March 2018 at 12 noon

DJ Mixathon 2018

This is going to be the Biggest Party of the century, featuring 200 DJs who will be spinning back to back jamz. This event is a Guinness World Record attempt that promises attendees an experience of a lifetime. The address is Hard Rock Cafe, Oniru Estate, Victoria Island, Lagos, on the 31st of March 2018 at 3:00 PM

AY LIVE Comedy

This event is taking place on a weekend (1st of April), and you might not get the opportunity to see it in our April list of events, so I’ve added it here. This is a back-to-back award-winning comedy show, and arguably the biggest comedy event in Nigeria. The AY Live comedy show will be held on April 1 at Eko Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos at 6:00 PM.
