Loving Daniella was produced to bring awareness to mental health which is not a disease limited to poor countries nor is it disease of the poor. It impacts families across continents and further impacts and disrupts the psychosocial aspects of all of us. Most important is the fact that mental illness is a chronic condition just as any other chronic ailments such as high blood pressure and diabetes and that’s why most countries are dedicating and putting in resources to treat it as such, the current misconception in Africa must be rededicated to match the perception in other countries so we can manage and treat it to the extent that individuals and families affected could move on and enjoy life and be as  productive as any other person. It’s also the reason the movie was produced in three countries to capture the full array and the impact it could have in communities. With this realization the Las Vegas Black film festival did acknowledge the enormous impact of this disease and recognize the impact it could have hence we were nominated in 3 categories and we won one. It’s rewarding for us to produce the movie as romantic flare with a happy ending meaning that it could be managed, and individuals can live a normal and productive life if the condition is adequately addressed. We had our obstacles and challenges along the way bearing in mind the 3 locations, but then the end justifies all the efforts.
