Nolly-Silver-Screen-July-2014-Issue   Tinsel’s sweetheart ‘Bimpe’, Linda Ejiofor is July’s cover girl for Nolly Silver Screen magazine. The starlet who was nominated for an Africa Movie Academy Award for her role in Rita Dominic’s hit romcom The Meeting talks about her journey as an actress, her ideal man and future plans. “He has to have a deep relationship with God and have a clear vision first for his life and then for his family”. She adds that a good sense of humour and smelling good are also top on the list. Also in this edition are interviews with Deyemi Okanlawon, O.C. Ukeje, Iretiola Doyle and Adejoke Laoye. According to Isabella Akinseye, “We decided to expand the magazine for our sixth edition. There is so much happening in the industry and it is our job to communicate it.” She added: “We owe it to our readers to give them more. Varied content and great designs are some of the things we have done in this edition which spans forty pages.” In line with this edition’s theme ‘the business of cinema’, Wilfred Okiche approaches the topic by looking at the life cycle of a Nollywood movie. What is the most expensive Nollywood movie? is  the question answered in the Vox Pop section while the cartoon strip, Nolly Toons is about the Economics of a Naija Date. Also featured are pictures from the red carpet of Mbong Amata’s DVD launch, Ivie Okujaye’s movie premiere, Open Mic Theatre’s Home grown edition and the international conference of the Nollywood Studies Centre of the Pan Atlantic University.
