The Light Lagos Pink Campaign invites you to make history with 12,000 other Nigerians against a public menace, breast cancer.
In a 2013 Vanguard News report, The Medical Director of Optimal Cancer Care Foundation, Dr. Femi Olaleye stated to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in an interview that breast cancer kills one in every 25 Nigerian women.
In the same report, WHO cited “One in eight women are at risk of having breast cancer in their lifetime, (a diagnosis of breast cancer is made every other minute).
Take a stand against breast cancer by attending 12KLLP, a Guinness World Record attempt that’s set to feature over 12,000 people in pink outfits to form the largest human pink ribbon.
12KLLP will also serve as a fundraising platform for breast awareness promotion. The organisers seek to push for the inclusion of cancer care under the National Health Insurance Scheme.
