All is set for the largest international trade fair in Nigeria, the Lagos International Trade Fair (LITF). The spectacular 10-day event, annually organized by the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), will hold from 1st to 10th November 2019, at the Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos State. It is undoubtedly a unique platform for businessmen/women from Nigeria, Africa, and the entire globe to meet and promote trade relations, as well as exchange ideas on how to improve their businesses and reach out to the globe with their enterprises. Also, the LITF affords international guests and traders the opportunity to visit places of interest in Nigeria.
Lagos International Trade Fair
Notable for commencing on the first Friday of the month of November every year since 1981, the organization of the Lagos International Trade Fair was taken over by the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry in 1986, and the Chamber has been staging the event for over three decades. Over these years, the LITF has witnessed tremendous growth in popularity, and has become the leading platform for trade and business promotion in Nigeria, and the whole of Africa.
Aware of the high standards expected of an International Trade Fair, the LCCI is consistent with its strive to live up to expectations. More so, it is not surprising that the Chamber has hit remarkable heights with its organization of the LITF, because the best of top business organizations in Nigeria, and personalities form up the LCCI, are able to trade or enter business transactions with their counterparts all over the globe. Without a doubt, the importance and usefulness of the annual event is very much noticeable, and has led to a constant increase in the number of exhibitors and visitors from all parts of Nigeria, and the world at large.
To make for easy accessibility by air, sea, and land, the Fair is usually held in Lagos State, the industrial hub of Nigeria. Both local and foreign exhibitors have been attracted to the Fair over the course of years. The LITF has seen steady growth in the level of participation for local and foreign exhibitors. In recent years, the Fair is either held at the Tafawa Balewa Square (considered the heart of Lagos) or the Lagos International Trade Fair Complex along Lagos-Badagry Expressway.
Owing to the fact that the Lagos International Trade Fair enjoys wide publicity in the electronic and print media, it presents a unique opportunity for Exhibitors to advertise their products, services, inventions and innovations to Nigerian, as well as international participants. The Federal and Lagos State Government and the Organized Private Sector support the Fair. Numerous government agencies out for new and improved ideas attend the event. Eminent dignitaries and prominent policy makers in the most populous black nation on earth visit the Fair on a daily basis throughout its 10-day duration.
