A democratic country cannot function adequately without political parties. This is because they provide the right channel for citizens to aggregate their interests and choose their leaders. There are 68 registered political parties in Nigeria and, with elections around the corner, it is best to get acquainted with them in order to make informed decisions where voting is concerned. Here is a list of the political parties in Nigeria, as released by INEC – the Independent National Electoral Commission.
