Super Eagles coach, Stephen Keshi, has cut down the 42-man list for the September tie with Malawi to 23 players after the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) instructed him to do so.
Keshi, in an interview with Brila FM, said “We’ve pruned down the list to 23 and I just want to see how I can work with the players that will make it to Calabar.”
The players who made the 23-man squad are: Vincent Eyeama, Austin Ejide, and Chigozie Agbim (goalkeepers); Elderson Echiejile, Efe Ambrose, Godfrey Oboabona, Azubuike Egwuekwe, Solomon Kwambe, James Okwuosa (defenders); John Mikel Obi, Fegor Ogude, Sunday Mba, John Ogu, Victor Moses, Ogenyi Onazi, Nnamdi Oduamadi, Nosa Igiebor, Ahmed Musa (midfielders); Brown Ideye, Shola Ameobi, Emmanuel Emenike, Obinna Nsofor, and Uche Nwofor (strikers).
