America’s Got Talent – The Champions has just ended after several episodes that kept viewers glued to their TV sets.
The show, described as the “Olympics of Talent”, had contestants comprising winners, finalists and other successful participants from previous seasons the competition, alongside acts from other “Got Talent” franchises in other parts of the world.There were fifty in number, including Texa- based Nigerian, Kechi Okwuchi , who made a stunning impression in the twelfth season to emerge as one of the finalists in 2017

The show’s finale on Monday, February 18th, saw “America’s Got Talent” season 13 winner, Shin Lim, crowned the ultimate champion. Although Kechi didn’t take home the trophy, she made it into the top twelve, after judge Simon Cowell gave her the emotional golden buzzer that shot her immediately into the final.
It will be recalled that Kechi overcame the trauma of being one of two survivors of the December 2005, Sosoliso Airlines Flight 1145 crash that killed all of her schoolmates onboard. She contested in the 2017 edition of AGT and was one of the finalists. She has since then become a public speaker and inspiration to other young people who have experienced tragedies.
