The former Super Eagles captain made this disclosure during the “Walk with Kanu’’ event organized by the Kanu Heart Foundation on Wednesday, September 29, 2021, to mark World Heart Day. Nigeria boasts of stars in top European clubs such as Victor Osimhen (Napoli, Italy), Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho (Leicester City, England), Alex Iwobi (Everton, England), and a lot more. The former Arsenal FC of England star went further to opine that the team can do better than the present and noted that the technical crew must make the right decisions for the team to succeed.
“If you ask me if we have the best squad I will tell you yes. Look at where or players are playing, they are doing well, so the most important thing is left for their coaches to make sure they put the right people where they are supposed to be and then push them. They can do more than what they are doing because everybody is afraid of Nigeria. Presently, if you call one, two, three, four players our players are there.” Kanu
