Nigerian Professional Football League side, Kano Pillars, and relegated Niger Tornadoes got West African referees to officiate their 2nd leg continental ties.
This development follows the decision of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to appoint Benin Republic’s Djindo Louis Houngnandande as centre referee, to be assisted by Gbemassianlan Narcisse, Eric Ayimavo Ayami Utrich and AL Fadel Adegnika for the encounter between Asante Kosoko of Ghana and Kano Pillars in the CAF Champions League Preliminary Round return tie, with Liberia’s Andy Quamie as match commissioner.
Burkina Faso’s Boureima Sanogo will handle the return leg of the Confederation Cup match between Sabrina de Conakry of Guinea and Niger Tornadoes of Minna, assisted by Ahabou Abdoura Wobgo, Daouda Traore and Hamidou Diego, while Frederick Eric Grentsil, a Ghanaian will serve as match commissioner. Both encounters are slated for August 23/24 2019.
However, the first leg matches for both teams will be played on Saturday, August 10, 2019. The Sai Masu Gida (Kano Pillars) will host the Ghanaian side in Kano, while Niger Tornadoes of Minna will host their Guinean counterparts in Kaduna.
