Jumia Nigeria, one of the well known e-commerce platforms in Nigeria, has named Juliet Anammah as the new CEO. She takes over from Jeremy Doutte and Nicolas Martin, the former co-CEOs as they take over the leadership of Jumia Global across 11 African countries.
Before this appointment, Juliet Anammah was a Partner and Managing Director of Consumer Goods Practice at Accenture, Nigeria. During her later years in Accenture, she focused on the digital consumer and route to market for consumer goods companies. She brings to Jumia over 24 years of professional experience plus 6 years at the senior executive level. She is passionate about Africa and women advancement and she serves on several non-profit organization boards focused on women development and trade expansion.
Speaking on her appointment, she said, “My objective is to relentlessly focus on building the Jumia brand, making it the one-stop shopping destination in Nigeria by offering convenience and the widest assortment of quality products at affordable prices. We are building a platform for local and global brands to enter the market at the speed of light by going directly from the factory to the consumers. This is a game changer for Nigeria and a major shift in the way companies look at their market entry strategy.”
