MTN Nigeria has appointed JMG to provide the power solution to modernise its communications network in Nigeria. This contract, worth £6 million, will involve the installation of 12 high capacity FG Wilson generator set at MTN switch locations in Asaba, Lagos, Kano and Ibadan. JMG is an official FG Wilson Dealer in Nigeria and one of FG Wilson’s worldwide networks of 370 Dealers.
According to the firm, the installation will provide Nigeria with enhanced network coverage to meet the population’s increasing mobile communications capacity requirements. The initial three-month installation project will encompass the supply and installation of six 2,000kVA, three 1,500kVA and three 1,250 kVA generator sets. JMG will also be supplying high voltage installations in order to conclude the project.
