Next World Music CEO, Jaywon, has released a brand new video for his inspirational single titled, “Aje”, which was released late 2018.
“Aje” is Yoruba for wealth. The song emphasizes the importance of hardwork and admonishes against giving up or taking one’s own life as an escape from life’s challenges.
Jaywon expresses his motivation for the song as follows:
“Our lively society is gradually losing its essence as negative thoughts of suicide have taken over the air, with many lives lost. On the song, I spoke about the importance of not giving up on one’s dream as committing suicide is not the way. “There is always a light at the end of the tunnel. I just want to inspire my fans so that they would remember that there is dignity in labour. I foresee that 2019 will be a great year.”
Jaywon started his own music label in 2013 following his exit from Kennis Music which had joined in 2009. Some of his biggest hits since coming into the limelight as a professional singer include ‘Odun Yi’ (This Year) and ‘Back to Sender’. His last major album was ‘Oba Orin’ (King of Songs) in 2016 which featured some big names including Mode9, Tiwa Savage, 9ice, Small Doctor and more. He donated the money generated from the album in its first couple of weeks to an orphanage.
The former Kennis Music star who sings in English and Yoruba was reportedly very busy last year. He hope this translates to another refreshing album in 2019.
‘Aje’ was produced by Irockclassic and the video was shot in Abeokuta, Ogun state.
