The International Organisation for Migration (IOM) is seeking applications from youth-led organisations addressing the intersection of human mobility, climate change, disaster risk reduction, and environmental sustainability.

The Youth Capacity Enhancement Programme aims to strengthen knowledge and expand impact for organisations implementing Climate Mobility solutions in Africa for 2025-2026.

Who Can Apply

  1. Age: 18-35 years old.
  2. Origin: Must have nationality from an African country.
  3. Organisation: Must represent a legally registered, youth-led civil society organisation (majority under 35) in an African country.
  4. Experience: Organisation must have 2-5 years of experience leading environmental or social community projects with at least 2 recently implemented projects.
  5. Project Proposal: Must submit an innovative climate mobility solution concept benefiting communities and youth.
  6. Travel Capability: Must possess a valid passport (until at least May 2026) and the ability to obtain necessary travel documents and insurance.
  7. Language Skills: Proficiency in English, French, Arabic, or Portuguese required (local language skills advantageous).
  8. Full Participation: Must commit to all program components, including online training, workshops, mentorship activities, and ethical values.

  1. Application forms available in multiple languages: ENG | FR | AR | PT.
  2. Submit your climate mobility solution concept that your organisation could implement in 2026.
  3. Required documentation (to be submitted later based on initial assessment):

  5. Official representation letter
  6. Lead applicant’s CV
  7. Evidence of previous project implementation (reports, photos, website, social media).
