Just when we thought we’ve seen it all with smartphones and gadgets this year, Sony introduces the Xperia Z3 and the Xperia Z3 Compact. Both devices are the latest in its line of smartphones running on the Android Kitkat 4.4 operating system.
Both Xperia phones use the Snapdragon 2.5GHz Qualcomm quad-core which simply means that your smartphone actually works smartly. The camera boasts of 2.2MP front camera and a 20.7MP rear-facing camera. All of these features are coupled with a sleek design filled with a sensitive touchscreen and one-touch connectivity function that connects your phone to a smartwear of your choice.
With a battery that has a 2-day capacity, Sony has smartly positioned its device to compete perfectly with the likes of Apple’s iPhone and Samsung’s S devices. Battery life is one of the most important features consumers consider when buying any device, and a battery that lasts for 48 hours is definitely a big deal.
Now to answer the question “What are the best parts of Sony’s Xperia Z3 and the Xperia Z3 Compact?” They have the waterproof function of their predecessor. I mean, no high blood pressure when you realise that you jumped into the pool with your smartphone still in your pocket.
But before you take a dive with your new gadget, remember that the waterproof function works in fresh water only- not toilets. It is also designed to go only as deep as 1.5 meters underwater, and only for up to 30 minutes at once.
