The Access MBA Tour, worldwide leader in One-to-One business education events, will return to Lagos on the 17th of September at Eko Hotels & Suites the organiser Advent Group announced today.
“Access MBA is designed to bridge the distance between business executives and elite MBA programmes from around the world through personalised One-to-One meetings between candidates and school representatives” – Christophe Coutat, Advent Group’s Managing Director, said.
The One-to-One meetings enable business professionals to find a top MBA programme that corresponds to their background and expectations. Each MBA candidate undergoes a selection and matching process by business education experts. Qualifying attendees are then given a custom event agenda for a series of 25-minute long meetings with admissions directors.
The event features top international business schools from Europe and North America, as well as prestigious local institutions. Candidates can expect to meet representatives from schools such as IESE Business School, IE Business School, EU Business School International, Hult International Business School, Manchester Business School and many more. It is expected that the gathering will be attended by up to 140 qualified MBA candidates from Lagos and elsewhere around the country.
The event is part of Access MBA’s Spring Tour, which features 125 international business schools and takes place in 36 cities across the world.
In addition to the private One-to-One meetings with admission officers, candidates can receive MBA preparation support, obtain GMAT and scholarship information, gain insight into the MBA admissions process, and participate in Panel Discussions featuring school representatives and alumni.
The highly sought-after Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree prepares business professionals for top managerial roles. In 2015, as much as 85% of companies worldwide claimed that they would hire recent MBA graduates, according to a report by the US-based Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC). “The proportion of employers seeking new business school graduates has grown steadily in recent years”, the report states, adding that job-seeking MBA graduates are facing their best prospects “so far this decade”. In addition, three out of four companies aimed to recruit on the premises of business schools, further reinforcing the notion of career progression as a core advantage of MBA education. Salaries have also seen a surge in 2015. Median remuneration for MBA graduates reached the important 100,000 USD milestone in the US, while globally, employers increased starting salaries by 20 to 30%. MBA graduates participating in an annual survey conducted by Advent Group last year claimed to have achieved similar results, with 66% of respondents saying they have either attained a better-paying job or managed to climb the career ladder as a result of their studies.
