Infinix recently launched a new budget smartphone – the Infinix Hot 6X. The new Infinix device serves as an upgrade to the Infinix Hot 6 and Hot 6 Pro released earlier this year. The Hot 6X has quite a lot going on for it with the characteristic display notch, a big battery and subtle improvements in the build quality when compared to its predecessors.
The Infinix Hot 6X features a big 6.2-inch HD+ IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 1500 X 720 pixels. It has a 19:9 aspect ratio and the notch houses the selfie camera, front-facing speaker, accelerometer and other sensors.
Infinix decided to power the device with a Qualcomm processor over the usual MediaTek processors. Hence, the Hot 6X runs on the Snapdragon 425 processor with 2GB/3GB of RAM. There’s 16GB/32GB of internal storage with expandable storage up to 128GB. A big 4000mAh battery ensures you get more than a day’s worth of power, plus the quick charge technology is there to make charging your battery swift.
Behind the device is a 13MP + 2MP dual camera with quad LED flash that shoots portrait images. The front-facing camera is an 8MP unit with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash. There’s an AI beauty Mode that makes for better-looking images, and facial recognition powered by the front camera and flash. The selfie camera also supports wide-angle photos that help get in more faces into your frame.
The device supports dual SIM and has 4G LTE available on all SIM slots. It runs Android 8.1 Oreo with XOS 3.3 UI. The Hot 6X also provides immersive entertainment with its in-built 3D Dirac speakers that offer a refined audio experience.
The device will be available in stores in the coming weeks.
