- What is the occasion?:
The first thing you would want to consider when trying to dress and look expensive on the budget is location and event. The event in general sets the tone for what fashion pieces you are going to use. The dresses used for a party is different from dresses one might wear to the office.
- Make use of whites:
One very important way to look expensive on a budget is to inculcate white in a lot of dresses. This does not mean to wear only white clothes but that one should always make sure that white is the assented piece of every garment. In whatever piece of jewellery, you would like to use, try one with bold white.
White comes in different shades and different textures. It is good to go to use the textures that hardly rumple up. These kinds give a kind of flawless look to whatever fashion statements you are trying to make.

- Use a statement piece:
Not just jewellery a statement piece can be shoes, bags or even headdresses. Statement pieces come in whatever form and when using one, it is advisable to use it over a blank canvas. A blank canvas is a plain cloth with minimal to no extra designs or patterns. This is so that the statements piece can stand out without overshadowing the entire dress.
Statement pieces can be tricky to pull but they are fun to try out and you should never be afraid to inculcate even more than one statement piece to whatever dress you are wearing. The colourful, the better; the better the more expensive the look.
That been said, it goes without saying that dressing expensively on a budget boils down to your personality. It is pertinent to note that you can put all the fashion pieces in place but the most important thing you should never forget is your confidence. Once you lose confidence in your dress, then the entire dress flops.
Always make sure that you put on confidence, together with a great smile to kill any look you are going for, especially when you need to look expensive on a budget.
